Stomp Out Addiction Walk

Faith Oakville
: For all ages

After prayerful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the Stomp Out Addiction Walk for 2020, previously scheduled for Sunday, October 4.

County restrictions, health and safety concerns, and an abundance of love for all our Stomp Out Addiction participants and volunteers have led us to choose cancellation for 2020. We are saddened by the fact that we can't walk together, but we are comforted knowing our Faith Family - and your friends and family - will not be put in harm's way.

But there is good news! You can still support the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse (NCADA) in 2020. Even though we can't walk together, we can still take one giant step together towards defeating addiction!

Why? Because alcohol and other drugs are a problem for our nation, our communities, and our families. Many in our Oakville community have first-hand experience with this issue touching their lives.

Every penny you give will go directly to NCADA to bring awareness, education, and support to our community. Last year, $15,000 was raised for NCADA! Without overhead expenses to meet this year, and with your help, we're praying we can still make a huge impact in 2020!

Thank you to everyone who served and walked for their community in 2019! 85 energetic and joyful servants joined together to help make it happen. 687 Walkers (592 Adults and 95 Kids) joined in to help Stomp Out Addiction.

Check out the video, to hear Marilyn Bader, Faith member and retired NCADA Trainer, talk about the challenges all of us in our Oakville community are facing.

From her early childhood to now, addiction has greatly impacted Lynda Moran’s life, yet she still encourages others, “We need to love our community and let them know that there is hope in God.”
