I was born in North Carolina, where grits and greens are everyday foods, ice tea is always sweet, and watermelons are always ripe. As a young gal, I was raised Southern Baptist. I moved to St. Louis 20 years ago to follow my best friend and sister, Patti. I always knew that as we grew older we would always stay close to one another. My sister brought me to Faith - Oakville and I immediately knew this would be my church home. My sister also introduced me to her neighbor, who is my husband Roger. Roger and I have a beautiful daughter, Caroline. She is a senior at Lutheran South High School.
In 2004, I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer, non-hereditary. Blessed by the Lord, my family, my church family, and my friends, this battle was not the end of my road but just the beginning, I am Cancer free. I served as Nursery Director here at Faith, part-time, for 15 years. After all those years of serving in Nursery, I decided to join my daughter in Student Ministry as a part-time Administrative Assistant. I am so very blessed to be a member of Faith - Oakville, and I am honored to be on our Faith staff with the most caring, loving, and kind folks ever.
