Our mission is to connect people to the extraordinary life found in Jesus - one person, one family, one community at a time.
Jesus said in John 10:10 “I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” We believe that Jesus brought new life for all and that the only way to experience this new life is through Him. This means we want to connect people to Jesus so they too can experience a new, abundant, extraordinary life.
Jesus spent time with lots of people, but some of His greatest moments were individual interactions. Jesus valued people and so do we. We believe that God has gifted people and called us to love people where they are at.
Just as Jesus had a mother, father, and siblings, we too are born into families. We know that life is tough and busy, that’s why we love families and seek ways to help them connect together to Jesus.
We believe we are strategically placed in a community to reach out to that community. Just as Jesus spent time with His community, we share His Good News with people in our community.
Connecting People to Worship
Worship isn’t solely what happens in our church on Sunday mornings. We believe worship happens constantly as we live our lives. Every word, every conversation, every moment points us to who Jesus is and His amazing love for us. Our goal as a church is to point people to the One worthy of worship. We want people to open God’s Word and learn more about who Jesus is and what He has done for us. We want people to join with other believers to lift up their praise in our worship services. We want to see communities worshipping at locations outside of church and growing together in their worship of God. Our hope is that, through worship, people will grow to better know Jesus and see their lives as an act of worship.
Connecting People to Community
We worship a triune God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. One God, three distinct persons. In Genesis 1:1 we see the Father, Son, and Spirit all present. In His essence God is community. That’s why we want to see people connecting in communities. We know that a healthy community of people is vital to each person’s faith. Community gives people a place to belong. Community gives people a place to be real. Community gives people a place to grow. Community gives people a place to be encouraged.
Connecting People to Mission
Jesus said in John 20:21 “As the Father has sent Me, even so I am sending you.” Jesus had a mission to come live our lives, take on our sin, experience our brokenness, suffer on our cross, die our death, go to hell where we belong, and rise from our grave so that we have eternal life. Jesus’ mission was to be the Gospel and share the Gospel.
Just as Jesus was sent on a mission, so too are we. At Faith, mission isn’t just going and serving others. Mission is using the unique way that God has gifted each of us to glorify Him and share His Gospel. Mission is really multiplying disciples. Mission is boldly going where the Holy Spirit leads. Mission is living our lives as a reflection of the grace that Jesus has given us. We want to connect people to God’s mission for His people and God’s unique mission for each individual.
We see groups intentionally planted to transform generations with the gospel where they live, work, and play.
That’s a big statement, but we believe this is the future for God’s people. Jesus calls us His disciples. At Faith ,we define a disciple as someone who gets the life of Christ, experiences the life of Christ with others, and obeys Jesus' command to give the life away.
Get the Life
Jesus gave His life for us to have new lives. A disciple understands this and strives to live their life as a thankful and obedient person in response to this completely unearned and free gift.
Experience the Life
Jesus didn’t just spend time alone, He experienced life and interacted with His creation. Disciples don’t live life in a bubble, they interact with others and seek ways to encourage and challenge those they do life with.
Give the Life Away
Jesus called Himself the Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd was so good that He was willing to lay down His life for the sheep. A disciple understands 'surrender'. This means our stuff, our lives, everything we have belongs to God, and we are learning to give it away as the Holy Spirit leads us.
